What can’t you live without?

Trousers that stretch. I feel like I’m in a straight jacket for my legs if I wear suit pants or jeans.  I just don’t feel right if I can’t dance at the drop of a hat.

What is your secret obsession?

I am a big nerd, so anything nerdy- from anime and sci-fi, to science and economics.

What are you most looking forward to about the project?

As a breaker (bboy/breakdancer), I literally started dancing in streets, community centres, and car parks, up in Leeds. It means a lot do be able to do something that challenges you, that you do with friends, that is creative and doesn’t cost a thing.  I’m looking forward to be able to share some of that vibe here in Leicester, especially with people who might not normally get a chance to meet hip-hop dance and culture, and see how to connect with Leicester in a new way.

What is your Art form/ Performance Style/ Background?

I am a hip-hop dancer and choreographer. I compete, and also make dance theatre shows and short films.  My style is rooted in break (breakdance) but I also draw from other hip-hop styles, contemporary dance, and krump.

What does heritage mean to you?

Heritage is our journey across generations, the history and traditions that we are given at birth. It is all the things from the past that help shape culture and identity.

Your interesting fact or claim to fame?

I’m blind in one eye.
