Our annual New Work Festival both supports and showcases the most dynamic and exciting talent from the Midlands.
The festival takes over spaces around across our theatre with productions and activities for all ages, including several performances direct from runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival,  informal gigs, musical comedy, dance, drama and more.

Kali Theatre in partnership with Leicester Curve presents DISCOVERY LEICESTER.

Thursday 7 - Saturday 9 March

Performed in British Sign Language and English, Lilac Yosiphon (Oh What A Lovely War) directs an ensemble cast of deaf and hearing actors in this exciting reimagining of one of musical theatre’s most beloved titles.

Join Cara Nolan, Artist Development and New Work Producer at Curve, for a workshop in Audition Techniques for Actors.

New Writers Showcase with Joe Gilmour

Friday 15 March
All the scripts shared in this evening by writers at all levels of experience and in any genre or form who are from, living in or connected to the Midlands.
10 minute sections of the work have been rehearsed with professional actors and directed by Joe Gilmour.

New Work Festival Dance Showcase featuring ROOTS

Saturday 16 March

Join us for an evening celebrating emerging Dance talent in the region.
Featuring performances from members of leading dance company Aakash Odedra’s ROOTS program.
